Christmas cookies (Languedoc Sun N°12) |

Recipe kindly contributed by Hugo POLIZZI, aged 14, Alès INGREDIENTS 500g sifted flour 200g caster sugar
250g softened butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 eggs
125g powdered hazelnuts
orange jam mixed with icing sugar
RECIPE Mix the butter & sugar; add the vanilla &eggs. Stir. Add the flour and hazelnuts. Mix well. Put the paste on a floury plate and leave for 15 minutes in the fridge. Then roll it out carefully and cut your shapes. Place the shapes on a greased tin and put into the oven for 15 minutes (medium heat). Leave to cooll. Sandwich the orange jam and icing sugar between two shapes and ENJOY yourselves!
