Chocolate and Pear Cake (Languedoc Sun N°3) |

Recipe kindly contributed by Yves and Denise from Montpellier. INGREDIENTS 1 cup flour (140gr) 3 eggs 3/4 cup sugar (140gr) 1/3 cup oil (80ml) 4 tbsps cocoa powder 1 packet vanilla sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1 can pear halves-drained and cubed
RECIPE • Butter and flour a 9 or 10 inch round tin • Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar. Stir in cocoa, flour and baking powder • Stir in oil • Carefully stir in the cubed pears • Pour batter into tin and bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 45 mn • Cool and remove from tin. Dust with cocoa and/or icing sugar to decorate
